Enjoy a delightful five-day break on the beautiful Sussex coast, staying at the elegant Lansdowne Hotel in Eastbourne. With its enviable seafront position, the hotel provides an ideal base for exploring this popular resort, while our included excursions take you to vibrant Brighton and on a nostalgic journey aboard the famous Bluebell Railway. With half board accommodation and evening entertainment on selected nights, there is plenty to enjoy both in and around the hotel.

Monday 27th Sept

We depart Leeds and travel south, with suitable comfort stops & refreshments available as we travel to the attractive seaside resort of Eastbourne. On arrival, we settle into the Lansdowne Hotel, with time to relax and enjoy the hotel's comfortable surroundings before dinner and our first evening on the Sussex coast.

Tuesday

Today is free for you to explore Eastbourne at your own pace. Take a leisurely stroll along the famous seafront, visit the Victorian pier, browse the shops or simply relax and enjoy the beautiful coastal views. Alternatively, explore the attractive gardens and parks that have earned Eastbourne its reputation as one of Britain's finest traditional seaside resorts.

Wednesday

Today we enjoy a wonderful double excursion. First, we travel to vibrant Brighton, where you'll have time to explore the famous seafront, browse the Lanes, visit the historic Royal Pavilion or simply enjoy the lively atmosphere of this popular seaside city. Later, we continue to the Bluebell Railway, one of Britain's best-loved heritage railways. Step aboard a beautifully restored train and enjoy a nostalgic journey through the picturesque Sussex countryside, experiencing the charm of a bygone era of railway travel as we enjoy a return journey from Sheffield Park to East Grinstead.

Following breakfast, we leave Eastbourne and begin our journey north, returning to Leeds with wonderful memories of a relaxing Sussex seaside break and our nostalgic journey on the Bluebell Railway.
